Audit log

greed·

Who changed it, and how

Every change to greed's settings is now recorded, wherever it was made:

WhereRecorded as
A command, prefix or slashThe command, its arguments and the channel
A button, menu or form in DiscordThe panel it came from
The dashboardDashboard
The dashboard assistantAssistant, with the chat ID
greed itself, cleaning up a deleted channel or roleAutomatic

If someone could only make the change because of fake permissions, or a role allowed by a command restriction, the entry says so. That answers "who set this up?" for stickies, autoresponders and autoreacts that suddenly start pinging people.

Open the log with /settings auditlog view, or ,greedlog for short, or the new Audit log page under Security on the dashboard. You need the real Manage Server permission; fake permissions do not count.

Undo

Open an entry and press Undo to put the settings back exactly as they were.

  • If someone has changed the same setting again since, nothing is undone, so their newer change is kept.
  • An undo is recorded too, so it can be undone.
  • You need the same access the original change needed. Fake permissions and antinuke admins need the server owner; antinuke settings need the owner or an antinuke admin; disabled commands, restrictions and the jail setup need Administrator.
  • greed never restores a role above your highest role, or hands out a role with dangerous permissions automatically.
  • A deleted log channel, welcome or leave message, guardian setup or verification gate cannot be restored, because greed never stores webhook tokens, rescue keys or verification answers. Set them up again instead.

Undo everything one member did with /settings auditlog revert @member [hours] or the button on any of their entries. greed shows how many changes it will undo first, and only undoes exactly those.

Stay informed

  • Add the new greed log type to a log channel (,logs add #channel greed) to get every change as it happens, each with an Undo button.
  • The server owner gets a DM when someone else changes antinuke, antiraid, the filter, fake permissions or other protection settings, at most once every 10 minutes. Turn it off with /settings auditlog alerts off.
