Image Editing

Apply filters, effects, and meme templates to images and avatars.

Overview

greed provides over 100 image manipulation commands for applying filters, effects, and meme templates to avatars and images. Commands accept member mentions, URLs, attachments, or replies to create fun and creative images.

Input Sources

Most commands accept an avatar or image as input. Specify one of:

  • User mention (defaults to mentioned member's avatar): ,command @user
  • Reply (uses the avatar of the replied-to author): Reply to a message and use ,command
  • Attachment (uses an uploaded image or GIF): Upload an image and use ,command
  • URL (fetches the image from a link): ,command https://example.com/image.png
  • Default (your own avatar): ,command with no arguments

Image processing must complete within Discord's interaction timeout (3 seconds). Large files or slow API responses may time out.

GIF support is limited. Commands outputting GIFs are noted in each section; others return static PNG images.

Avatar Filters

Transform avatars with dozens of visual effects and filters.

Text Overlays & Templates

Add text to images and use meme templates.

Avatar Meme Reactions

Apply meme effects using a member's avatar.

Troubleshooting

If an image command times out or fails, the API may be unreachable or the image may be too large. Try again with a smaller or different image source.

GIF commands produce larger files and may take longer to process. If GIFs consistently fail, the server may be rate-limited; wait a moment and retry.

Text commands accept plain text or quoted strings. Use quotes for multi-word input: ,supreme "hello world".

Most avatar filter commands default to your own avatar if no member is mentioned. You can also reply to a message to use the replied-to author's avatar.
